Instrumentation for Lab and Space 

Experimental research and technology development withing the PIF group covers activities from initial design studies and computer models to advanced analogue and digital electronics and various detector technologies. We apply them both in space and in our ground laboratories.   
 
 

Current Activities

LEED Low Energy Electron Detector
               study and demonstration model tests, 

               possible location: ISS, Telecom Sat

POLAR Hard X-ray polarimeter 
               prototype and engineering model;
               possible location: China Space Lab, ISS

SREM - Standard Radiation Environment Monitor of ESA.
We maintain its document repository and optimise data analysis.
Data bank with space radiation monitoring from all SREMs flying on
INTEGRAL, Rosetta, PROBA1 and GIOVE-B

RHESSI GRB-DB Data bank with all Gamma Ray Bursts detected by
RHESSI satellite between 2002 and 2008

Data bank with space radiation data from REM monitor onboard MIR and STRV
satellites can be found on the REM web page
